Is it safe to get a tattoo in Bali?
At a studio that does this properly, yes, as safe as anywhere. Here is exactly what we do, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
Our standards
We are committed to the highest standards of hygiene, with strict sterility control and medical-grade equipment. We consistently surpass industry norms to guarantee sterility in the workspace, and our health and hygiene standards align with or surpass those of reputable tattoo studios in Australia.
Indonesia does not regulate tattoo studios the way Australia, the UK or New Zealand do, which means the standard is whatever each studio sets for itself. We set ours high and we would rather you inspected it. Everything on this page is visible to you on the day, and you are welcome to ask to see any of it.
We do not compromise on any aspect of hygiene or cut corners, which is part of why we do not run the volume some studios do. Quality is the thing we are selling.

- Disposable nitrile gloves, changed regularly.
- Fresh linen for every customer.
- Your skin cleaned and sterilised with alcohol before the tattoo starts.
- Bactine on the finished tattoo to reduce inflammation and pain, speed healing and kill bacteria.

- Imported professional inks from top brands only.
- Studio rooms isolated from the lobby and restricted to customers and staff.
- High-quality air filters in the studio rooms, removing dust particulates and airborne pathogens.
