What a tattoo costs here
Real numbers rather than a vague range, so you have something to compare against. Your own price is confirmed at the consultation, before the needle, and it does not move afterwards.

How we quote
We charge per piece rather than per hour wherever we can, which means you know the price of your tattoo before it starts. Charging by the hour makes the final figure depend on how fast the artist works, and some of the best artists are deliberately slow.
To quote we need three things: the design idea, where on the body it is going, and roughly what size. With those we can give you a figure and a time estimate. If the design changes at consultation, the price changes with it, down as readily as up.
Booking by the day
Larger work is booked and priced by the day, and it works out cheaper than the same hours bought individually. A full day is Rp 9,500,000 to Rp 10,500,000. The same eight hours at the hourly rate would be Rp 12,000,000 to Rp 13,600,000.
A deposit of Rp 3,000,000 secures each day booked. Smaller pieces take a proportionally smaller deposit. Pay a booking deposit.
Why Bali is cheaper
Rent, wages and overheads here are a fraction of what they are in Sydney or London. That is the legitimate reason, and it is why you get genuinely good work for less. It is not because the work is faster, so treat a quote far below everyone else as information rather than a bargain. What to check before you book.
